Funfetti Cookie Baking Kit - Hints and Tips

Funfetti Cookie Baking Kit
Parental supervision advised for little bakers.
You will need -
90g melted butter - margarine can be used as a substitute, 50/50 marg/butter is good too.
1 medium egg
1/2 teaspoon of cold water (optional) - sometimes required to help bring the dough together.
a mixing bowl
a large spoon - wooden spoons are perfect!
baking paper (or greaseproof)
a shallow baking tray
Before you start - Line your baking tray with baking paper and pre heat your oven to 170c/160c fan.
Step by step...
1. Add the cookie mix to your bowl, add the melted butter and all the vanilla and stir together until combined.
2. Add the egg and bring together until you have a smooth dough - you can add 1/2 tsp water to help bring the dough together if needed. Split the dough into 8 equal pieces and place on the lined baking tray, space at least 3cm apart. Hint...do 2 batches if your tray is a bit small.
3. Pop into the oven for approx 15 minutes on the middle shelf
4. Remove from the oven, add the smarties and marshmallows whilst the cookies are still *hot - press them into the cookies before they harden, then allow to cool...

*Take extra care when handling hot bakes, keep children at a safe distance until cooled fully.
Your cookies will keep for up to 5 days in an airtight container or longer in the fridge. Ensure they are well wrapped to stop them drying out.
